This goal of creating this breed was to result in a dog with the look, health, and athleticism of the original bull-baiting dogs, with a healthier, easier maintainable animal. These dogs are family/kid/cat friendly when socialized, easy to potty train, and quick to learn obedience training. Most prefer an indoor/outdoor living arrangement and do well in apartment type situations as well. They are loyal dogs, and will protect their homes with a big bark.
